Genesis Resources

Genesis begins the one story by showing God as Creator, the entrance of sin, and God’s covenant promises that begin His plan to rescue and bless the nations through Abraham’s family (Genesis 12:2–3).


Genesis points to Christ through God’s promise that an offspring would come who would crush the serpent, pointing forward to Jesus as the One who defeats sin and Satan (Genesis 3:15).


Genesis declares God’s love by showing His mercy toward sinners and His faithful pursuit of His people through covenant promises even after the fall (Genesis 8:21–22).

Exodus advances the one story by showing God rescuing His people from slavery and forming them into His covenant people, moving them from bondage to worship and toward God’s presence with them (Exodus 6:7).


Exodus points to Christ through the Passover lamb, where God rescues His people through a substitute, which points forward to Jesus as the Lamb who gives His life to save us (Exodus 12:13).


Exodus declares God’s love by showing His faithful compassion toward an oppressed people and His patient commitment to them even when they struggle to trust Him (Exodus 34:6).

Leviticus

Leviticus Resources

Leviticus advances the one story by showing how God makes a way for His people to live with Him, teaching them holiness, worship, and the need for cleansing so His presence can remain among them (Leviticus 11:45).


Leviticus points to Christ by showing that sinful people need a holy substitute and a priest to bring them near to God, which points forward to Jesus as the final sacrifice and our true High Priest who makes us clean and brings us into God’s presence (Leviticus 16:30).
